since it was the first time turning the pc on and all i tried unplugging hd optical drive and the ssd and see if it would start up and it still does the same it just turns on for 1-2 seconds and shuts itself off i looked at the panel connectors if they were corrected i looked and followed the diagram multiple times checked the main power cable i checked if the cpu fan was mounted correctly and that the cpu was placed correctly. I checked if it was the power outlet tried multiple outlets i took at look at the mobo standoffs if it was toucheing the case at all which it was not i took a look at the ram if it was in correctly i changed the ram in other slots to see if it would make any difference and it did nothing i have no clue what to do anymore

Power supply 850watt Coolermaster
CPU Intel 4770k
Mobo MSI Z87 GD65
CPU Fan is a Thermaltake Water 3.0 Pro
Ram Corsair Dominator Platinum 32GB

try the mb outside the case with just the power supply. if it shuts off. then check your cpu to see if it seated right and try another power supply. if it works outside the case but not in.check that the io shield not shorting the mb out. also on some bad builds i seen bad case fans and or bad usb cables or ports. try unplugging the case fans and usb cables to see if one of them is shorting out the mb.

none of it worked :(

with the power supply unplugged from the mb will it turn on by jumping the green power wire to a black one?? do you have another power supply to see if you have bad unit. on the msi mb are there any fault lights or codes showing up??
most new mb if there shutting down it bad power or a dead short. check under the cpu for bent pins and see that the cpu is seated right.
