So I am getting an issue of No Signal from the monitor. I have tried out different monitors and cables to make sure that wasn't the problem. I was told to try plugging my monitor into my motherboard but I have no idea how to do that.

Solution
GT 610 at $30 after $10 MIR. GT 620 at $40 after $10 MIR. the 610 states a minimum of 300W and the 620 a minimum of 350W. While you probably could run off 250W I would highly recommend upgrading the PSU as well.

Ahh, the video card offers an output for you to use monitors but sometimes the cpu is capable of delivering video output as well. I say sometimes because only specific cpu's and motherboards are capable of offering that video output. If you do not see a VGA output on the back of your system other than the video card's VGA, then your cpu does not offer such a feature.

If possible try a different monitor or even a different video card.

The video card is all I see on there. I tried a different monitor and cable but nothing happened. I found a video card at Microcenter for $30 I am thinking of going and getting and trying that out.

Compaq Presario CQ5107C

Is the type of computer I am working with. It actually belongs to my girlfriend and I am attempting to get it working right. It has a 250 watt power supply however most of the video cards I am finding say 300watt. Does this mean I need to upgrade the power supply as well?

Ah so it has an integrated NVidia card. If that's the only card on the board and is the one that you were using before then I see where we got confused. Yes you should buy a cheap video card. As for the power I'm fairly certain 250 would work for a basic card but as I'm on my phone during my lunch break its a bit hard to check to be sure. I do however have simple gpu's in my store so I will check the specs and possibly a price.
