Hello Guys ! I have recently sold my Sapphire HD 7770 and was willing to buy the sexy msi 760. I have a gigabyte m68mt s2p mobo and it only supports AM3 .. I have an athlon II X2 260 cpu and its quite well .. worth the price. WAS..I'd prefer GFX over the CPU performance .I was wondering 》》》》》

1. What kinda performance will I get with the 760 in the 260 ?? I am low on budget and will upgrade to a new cpu in the coming months. Just wanted the 760.. badly ! Is it gonna be too much bottlenecked or can I push a bit harder for a few days? Or upgrade the cpu straight away?

2. As I am low on cash. I was thinking about getting an X6 1075T. Will it be worth it??

3. An i3 4th would be better for the 760 ?? Or an i5 4th gen? Will the Pentium G3420 be a choice ?? And which mobo under the budget ? Was preferring asus.

Sorry for my novel-like question. I am a great fan of this community. Please make no offensive comments .. thank you.

2. Yes, it will. Much cores, so future proof.

3. Get AMD, don't go for intel if you have an AM3 motherboard already, save money, inv ur gf somewhere or buy Watch Dogs :) ( I prefer the 2nd one more lol! ). 6 cores = more futureproof than i3 2 cores.

If you want 760, go for the MSI n760 or HAWK 760, both very smexy looking cards and both very overclocked!

Unfortunately with new games that actually need the 760, you'll only be able to use about 50% of its potential... That's a pretty weak dual-core these days. The only games the 6-core would make a difference over a quad is Battlefield 4 and Crysis 3. An i3 would work fine with the 760, but only able to use 80-90% of its potential in more intensive games - an i5 would be the best choice. You could save a bit by going with a cheap LGA 1155 Asrock mobo and a locked i5 - would still give you great performance.
