Is this a good Haswell motherboard for the price?

I am upgrading to a Haswell i7 4770k from fx 8350, and I think I will get a GTX 780 just before that. Just wondering if this motherboard is the best for the price? Seems to be the cheapest that supports SLI, and I was baffled as my AM3+ one supported dual SLI and cost £75 while this costs £110! I haven't actually got two GPUs but I won't the option available. Also, do I need to reinstall windows and all my programs when changing motherboard?

Coming from an AMD background, you may have heard bad things about MSI as their reputation in that area isn't exactly stellar. However, I have found that they make excellent Intel based products.

I have the MSI Z87-G43 and it has been a great MB for me. The G45 Gaming is the big brother to my board and it should be even better. I highly recommend MSI Z87 MBs!

I've noticed that these haswell compatible boards are higher quality (and therefore more expensive!) than the AM3+ boards. This has 6 data 6gb/s ports and triple sli! Thanks for the help anyway, but do you know if I'll need to reinstall windows as well as all my programs?

Some ppl get away with a simple HDD swap and a driver update, but I would recommend a clean Windows install and reinstall your apps for the most trouble free operation.

Just taking the HDD directly out of your FX 8350 setup and installing it in the new Intel system, without formatting or changing anything.

Another option is to "Sysprep" the HDD: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/135077-windows-7-installation-transfer-new-computer.html

I've never used the Sysprep method but it is supposed to work. Relieves you of having to reinstall Windows and all of your apps.
