I have a Gateway SX2370 desktop computer that I am trying to get WOL working. It has a Acer DAA75L-aParker motherboard in it. Neither Gateway nor Acer have any easily findable instructions for this. Gateway will NOT answer any support questions after your warranty has expired. Acer says you need to ask the vendor (Gateway.) W7 instructions do not work (Probably because the instructions are quite confusing.) The BIOS does not have a clear "Wakeonlan" reference anywhere within it.

I have searched (and continue to search) any search engines and forums for a reference. Does anyone know how to do this?

It does not work because I am unable to locate any "wol" settings to set to "wol from lan" or whatever Acer/Gateway decided to name the switch within the bios.

Wakeonlan is one of the most rudimentary functions all bios have been doing since I don't know when. Typically, manufacturer support posts basic instructions regarding how to do wakeonlan with the onboard motherboard lan in a "SX series" Gateway computer.

Acer is the manufacturer of the motherboard and they do not have anything posted regarding wol.

(Unrelated to this, my bios version is the "A1" version and "A4" is available and the flash program posted by Gateway on the support page does not flash the bios. When I get the bios flashed I am hoping there is a LAN setting in the new bios. Time will tell.)

So, again, anyone aware of this process?
