Gtx 780 or HD 6990?

Very recently, i have a chance to buy a gtx 780 for 20% less than the original price, all brand new in box.

But what im wondering is if the gtx 780 is truly worth it compared to the hd 6990.

I've done some research on google but i still can't come to a good conclusion.

So my question is : would it be worth it to buy the gtx 780? ( and sell the 6990)

Yes, the HD 6990 is a Dual GPU Card, which means some games(especially old ones) won't work smoothly. The GTX 780 is a Single GPU Card, so you'll encounter less peoblem in old games. In terms of performance, the GTX 780 is better, but not by too much(15%, give or take 5%). The GTX 780 consumes less power also and can play at multiple monitor(or one monitor at qHD res) smoothly shall you decide to buy another monitor. It all matters to you in the end, though. Do you like your current card, or do you want to swap to a new card. If you're hapoy with your card, use it, it'll still give playable FPS in 2-3 years.

780 is around 10% faster, and it's quieter and consumes less power. you will also encounter less problems since the 6990 is a dual-gpu, and a lot of games don't use that 100%.

Don't know the value of that 6990, but if there is less than a $200 difference in price i would do it.
