After a DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION bluescreen, when my computer restarted it couldn't recognize my harddrive. So then, after restarting the computer it booted just fine. But after that bluescreen the computer is extremely laggy and much less responsive than normal. I ran diagnostics which rang up Error Code 2000-0145, hard drive self test did not complete. I believe my hard drive is failing and should be replaced. But before I do, could upgrading the bios version and installing drivers on my soundcard be the issue? I've been checking my hdd usage using task manager in windows 8, and I see that when programs are only using .1 mb of data usage on the hdd, my hdd is at 100% disk usage.
