I recently purchased a new 1TB SSHD for my PC, and I decided to keep my old 1TB HDD as a backup drive just encase anything ever happened to my main drive. I used Windows 8's preloaded backup utility to set up my old HDD as a backup, but for some reason the size of the backup file is just growing and growing. On my main SSHD I have used up around 340GB, with around 660GB of free space. On my second HDD, the backup file has used up 630GB, with just 370GB free. Eventually the backup file is going to be 1TB+, and I don't understand why it's so big. My assumption was that the backup is mirrored, so whatever storage capacity I've used up on my SSHD will be the exact same for my backup drive.
