hi mark. your build looks solid. you should have good enough cooling to run the two gpu's in crossfire so you should be fine with that and i believe the steamroller cores where planned to be released by the end of 2014

I'm going to strongly recommend you go the intel way if you are going to be gaming. I had a 8350 and it just didn't have the power I wanted compared to even a i5-4570

Also gtx 770's are better performance for the same price.

Thanks for the reassurance on my build :)

I was thinking that that the next FX with steamroller cores would come end of 2014/early 2015 which is why I didn't spring on the FX-9590

I was looking at the gtx 770s sli. For over-all performance of it was slightly better, but the sapphire toxic edition was 100$ less then the equivalent msi gtx 770 lightning edition (200$ total)

I might even wait for the 290x lightning edition if its under 750$

For the Processors your probably right about the i5-4570 being better, but I dont want to get a whole new motherboard when the next FX CPUs come out

Thanks for your opinion :)

It makes it even better knowing you have the same graphics card.

But as for the case I kind of want it to be slightly portable (c70s handles/latches) and I don't need that many drive bays/optical bays and I thought it might be a bit excessive to get a full tower

well I think you need the 750d as the GPU is SO...DAMN...LONG and you can remove the top set of drive bays. I HIGHLY say get the 750D, I have the fractal deisgn define R4 and it will fit all your stuff but Just to be safer get a bigger case. Your choice though :)

I think you convinced me

I can just picture how much it would suck for the GPUs not to fit and even if they fit but was really cramped would be annoying.

Plus the Obsidian series seems to have really cool features
