As the headline states I'm unsure which to go for. Both cost around the same, many people say sapphire is the preferred brand for amd cpu but the asus gets great reviews. Please don't try convince me to go for a 270x, I may in the near future look at crossfire so the single 6 pin connector is a draw. Thanks in advance guys. Love this forum such a great source for info.

Hi, get the Dual X 270, they overclock a lot better and already has better out of the box performance. The PSU you currently have is not good, I recommend a corsair VS500 or CX500

Thanks for your reply, may I ask what's so bad about my psu? I realise its old but surely it provides the power?

It's not a reliable brand, post the amperage on the 12v rails please

That power supply can only deliver a maximum of 384 watts on it's 12v rails which should be used to power nearly everything in your build which will definitely not be enough. Pickup up a Corsair CX430 or CX500 and don't look back

This, I'd try and go for a XFX 550W PSU.

So do people agree with the sapphire as only real choice?

They're both good, but the sapphire one has a better cooling system allowing for higher overclocks. Personal preference would be Sapphire but ultimately it's your choice
