First of all my current system is:

Asus Hero MOBO
Cosair 128GB SSD
Muskin Chronos 240GB SSD
Segate 2TB HHD

I need to re install windows 8 onto my 240GB ssd opposed to 128GB which it is currently on. I would also like to factory reset all my drives using a full clean. I don't care about file loss. I do own my copy of windows 8 if that helps. Where should I start?

I am moving my system to a new case and need more storage o=for my local disk.

Thanks in advance for your help.

The most important step to take is to Secure Erase your 2 SSDs. This is best done with the $5 program "Parted Magic" https://partedmagic.com/downloads/ SE will return the drives to as fresh as out-of-the-box when new. As for the Seagate a quick format should suffice.

You don't list any optical drive? If so you'll have to burn a Win 8 .ISO to a USB flash drive: D/L an .ISO here: http://www.redmondpie.com/download-windows-8-iso-x86-x64-file-directly-from-microsoft/

Use imgburn to burn the .ISO to the USB flash drive: http://www.imgburn.com/

Boot from the USB flash drive and it is all downhill!

Good luck!

If you have the Win8 install disk, simply connect the 240GB drive (and only the that drive), install.
After Windows works, verify that is the only one in the boot order.
Connect the old drives.
Secure Erase the 128GB SSD, and delete all partitions and reformat for the HDDs.

yep, have the cd, and product code

Might it change anything if when i installed windows the first time i had all drives plugged in? I have heard situations where windows puts files on the secondary drive.
