Hello guys,
I booted up my Acer Aspire 5520g and all I got was a white-screen! That's all the display shows, just plain white.
At first I suspected the internal screen cable but when I hooked up my old CRT I actually got a video signal, however it had purple lines in it and strange artifacts. So this tells us that there is in fact some life in the graphicscard.
When I got to windows I managed to read trough the artifacts and get into the device manager and it turns out my laptop no longer recognizes the videocard.
Any ideas on what I can do? I could never afford to replace it these days.
Specs: 3gb DDR2 ram, amd turion 1.9ghz dualcore, 8400m g videocard
Additional information: I'm not a nooby and my warranty is mos def expired, so please don't refer me to my retailer or something
Thanks for reading I really appreciate it ,
peace
