Hi, I've a BenQ XL2420TE and I'm using it as an laptop display output

My laptop specs are:
Nvidia GTX770m 3gb
core i7
16gb ram

and I've thunderbolt port, HDMI port, usb 3.0 ports. I've tried using mini displayport to displayport and it didn't give me the 144hz refresh rate too.. I am currently using a HDMI 1.4 and to no anveil, it's not working too.. PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME SOLVE THIS ISSUE! :(

Thanks in advance and sorry for the long post!

You have 2 options for getting 120+hz: Displayport (mini is fine) or Dual Link DVI-D.

Nothing else will work. Using a converter to another type of connection will not work. The only converters that could be used is between Displayport 1.2 and Dual Link DVI-D.

There is a good chance your laptop will not support 144hz. Could you get 120hz out of that mini-Displayport to Displayport connection? If so, that is likely the best you can do.

I'm not sure. It mentioned the resolution, but not max refresh rate. It shouldn't matter, DP can support 144hz on many monitors, but it may be the video card is limited. Or driver support. It may also be a DP version on one of the cables. I think DP 1.2 may be required.
