underpowered fx 8350

i was reading through some forums and read one that says the fx 8350 is too slow for bf4 and ac4 paired with a sapphire r9 280x toxic. is it true?

I haven't heard such a thing. The FX 8350 is clocked at 4ghz with a turbo of 4.2ghz out of the box and it can be overclocked up to 5ghz so there should be no issues with it being too slow.

CPU won't hold you back. BF4 still have "bugs" in that levels aren't very optimized, frame rates jump all over the place.

Now, you're not going to play either game @ 1920x1080 in ULTRA with Only one (1) GPU.... drop down a notch for best game play. (I'm running GTX690 & it barely holds Ultra level...)

im not going to play at ultra res, probably at high res only at 1080p so the r9 280x toxic should be fine.

Yes the two components will work fine together and the high setting will help with a demanding game like BF4.
