I can't access my router login page using default gateway IP address

I am unable to access my router's login screen by using my default gateway IP adress. I've also tried using SMC default ip addresses to no avail. I really need to access my router to open port forwarding. I've been combing through forums and haven't found anything that works yet. :( Also, I am plugged into the router via Ethernet and not wireless.

Router: SMC D3GN2

Here is the information from my ipconfig.

  1. Hi

Was your router a retail version purchased from a shop or supplied by your ISP

If from an ISP ask them as device may be setup differently from retail version

    Best of luck

I am having the same issue. Our documentation states we need to use 10.1.10.1 to access our business class router however I just get the default error message "the page can not be displayed" however I am able to ping both the internal and the external addresses.
Also what should be mentioned is I did restart the computer after connecting directly to the modem and I do have a valid IP address while connected (10.1.10.10) which was issued by DHCP.
  4. Hi avenged7x85

If you can get to the cmd prompt
    Type ipconfig /all
    And report the results

I believe default gateway is address of your router
    Example above is 192:168:44:1

    Likely to be 10:1:10:nn
    Defaults can be changed

Here you are, and I have already used this address and came up with the same error message: I attempted to add the image however the forum would not allow me.

Thank you for all of your quick support. That address did also not get me access to the modem.
I reached out to Comcast and they actually were unable to access the device as well and rebooted it remotely.
After it booted back up we were able to work with the modem.

    THANKS AGAIN!
