Greetings, All !

I need to buy some ram for my new MSI 970A-G46.

I found specs saying it will take:

DDR3 PC3-12800, DDR3 PC3-10600, DDR3 PC3-8500, DDR3 PC3-14900, DDR3 (ECC)
and
• Supports four unbuffered DIMM of 1.5 Volt DDR3 800/1066/1333/1600/1866/2133* (OC) DRAM, 32GB Max

So, after doing some reading, I'm thinking I should strive to get:

PC3-14900 DDR3-1866 (as high a number as possible in each of those two groups?)

One thing I've noticed is that, when I do a casual search for DDR3-1866, I find a lot of listings for PC3-15000 and not so many for PC3-14900 ? I'm guessing a lot of folks are just rounding up and PC3-15000 would work just fine in this motherboard?

Thanks!

What CPU? you'll want one of the stronger FX CPUs to run at 1866, don't want to waste on 1866 if your CPU cant carry it. as far as the 14900 and 15000 they are basically interchangable, it the theoretical numer of M/Ts (mega Transfers per second) that the DRAM can run (roughly Mega-Bytes)
