Is my Video card compatible

I'm having many issues with my video driver stopping and recovering. I recently installed a HD 7790 gigabyte video card onto a Gigabyte Mother board. it is and older mother board AM2+. I have a quad core processor. and 8GB of ram. does anyone have any ideas?

you can either see if you can update your driver or if you recently updated it reverting back to an older one might help. A driver re install may also help.

Thanks I'll try to reinstall, how can I tell if I have a bad card?

well you could put your card in another machine and see if the problem comes or put a different card in your machine and see if the problem disappears. There's no for sure test to narrow it down to the card.
