Hi guys this is my build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2Dq5C

I have chosen these parts with the help of Pcpartpicker :)

Please can you judge my overall build and also please could you estimate what settings I'd be able to play Battlefield 4 on, 1080p, Crysis 3, etc.

Thanks!

you need a cpu cooler and different mobo if you plan to OC.

in terms of the build itself it's solid.

also not a fan of hitachi drives i'd recommend western digital or even samsung over them.

Are you planning on overclocking?

Nah I don't want to overclock personally if it doesn't give too much benefit, so I think stock cooler is fine? or not O.O

why not?
also, I'm thinking of getting windows 8, OR windows 7 and an SSD (only for the OS, like 64gb)
what do you guys think?

I assume you meant "why not" get a hitachi? > haven't heard many good reviews for their reliability is all.

An SSD is a good choice for putting your OS on.
My preference is Windows 7 but you can go 7 or 8.

If you are fine with doing probably a bios update i would recommend this:

I just don't know about hitachi hard drives though, but western digital seems way more popular and is therefore probably a better choice.

And yeah an SSD is great, it will really make a difference. I would recommend the 840 EVO 120GB for OS+some programs.

Yeah I meant that lol :)
Ahh ok, I just went for them because they're cheaper, meh will probably change to WD.

Yeah I'm kinda leaning towards doing that, but what do you think would be faster, Windows 7 w/ SSD, or Windows 8?

Thx, that Mobo is a micro-ATX though, and I don't really like the sound of them tbh :/
I also don't know how to do a BIOS update lol.
Also, what is the difference between the one I chose and your one?
Thx

the difference in mobo's is the chipset 970>760g(yours is 970) and is bigger at ATX size and so includes more sata 6 ports/features.

The 970 chipset motherboards are better than the 760/880G ones.

I'd actually advise the M5A97 R2.0 (Not LE or EVO editions) The LE is a basic version of the regular and the EVO is a more powerful version than the regular but the regular one is generally best as it can overclock with more potential than the LE and isn't "bad" compared to the EVO.

Ah ok, so i'll go for the standard, M5A97 R2.0 then
