Old HDD has windows 7

But my current computer has Windows 8. Old drive is a 3.5" 750GB and the new computer is a laptop, I know I would need something like this http:// to use the 3.5" at all. Is there any way I can take 7 from the old and install it on the new?

Do you have the activation key for the Windows 7 install?

If so, download the relevant Windows 7 ISO here:
http://www.w7forums.com/threads/official-windows-7-sp1-iso-image-downloads.12325/

Burn to DVD, install and activate.

Better question for your quick reply to my original problem; would the product key help me at all? I still have the old pc, with the "genuine windows" sticker.
