Massive ping spike problems (Shentel provider, Linksys router, Ethernet cable)

I have massive ping spikes that go from around 50 to 1.5k and stay there for long periods of time (hours mainly). I've tried everything in my power from disabling IPv6 to plugging an ethernet cable from the router into my computer. Any help would be much obliged, even searching the internet is unbearable. Thanks!

Nevermind I found the solution when playing a game today. I was having wonderful 35 ping for 3 hours, and then when my brother got on his computer it spiked and is staying at 1.6k ms. Gotta get a stronger router
