I have no HDMI audio on my Windows 7 computer. HELP!

ok, so i got my new graphics card for christmas and it seemd to install the new drivers flawlessly. However, i just went to my friends house and i plugged my computer into his HD TV, and i noticed that for some reason i didnt have any audio. So i went into my sound program and it said that my "ATI HMDI Audio is not plugged in". I thought this was odd because the pitcture on the HD TV was more than perfect....but i have no audio. So I then went into my AMD catalyst control and long story short. it looks like the catalyst didnt even install my HDMI audio. So my big question is can i simiply install the same drivers i have again and it would simply overwrite the older files, or will it mess something up. Please help!! Thank you.

err i had this with the 780 graphics card. . I had to go into control panel , then go to hardware and sound, then left click on sound, and select the tv as the default playback device . With the TV Connected
