Anyone know how well this crossfire does? Just ordered the toxic and am curious as to what the performance will be.

the gpus should run at the same frequencies so you will have to down clock the toxic, but i think the software will do that automatically. performance should be slightly less than if you xfire'd 2 280x.

Well I have overclocked my 7970 to match the clock on the toxic so will the toxic still downclock?

shouldn't, but the software might do something funky when you first put them together like revert them to stock then match them. You can always overclock them together once hooked up.
