I am looking to overclock my AMD Bulldozer CPU "I don't know why I bought it.". Anyways I am looking to OC to about 4.5 GHZ from 3.3, I am wondering what cooler would be good for this job.

1.Should I get a heat-sink or water-cooling

2. If Heat-Sink Why?

3. If Water-Cooling Why?

4. What you use

Thank You,
I will also need some help on the overclocking itself.

Solution
1. It´s better a good heatsink than water unless you´re buying a 100Hi cooler

2. Because you´re going to have the same experience for less money and no problems about leaking and stuff, the noise can be similar if not better in many cases.

3. I just have a little overclock in my fx 6300 because I don´t want to push my motherboard but I use a 212 evo.

If you have the money this cooler will be enough for even more than that but a 212 evo ($35) can support a mild oc.

Tell us your build to see if any of your parts are weak for that kind of oc, in this link you will find info to do a great oc to those levels in that cpu...

Thank You,
I have a FX6100
Thermaltake TR2 600Watt PSU
I don't remember my exact MOBO, but it is a Gigabyte Ultra Durable
EVGA GTX650
500Gb Hard Drive
Normal Case Fan, but I am purchasing 2 more

I do not really want to spend 90 Bucks, but 35 is fine, I am also open to refurbished products

Don´t think you could go that high with that mobo but you can try to get to 3.9 - 4.0 ghz, that 212 evo could handle that.

Up the multiplier 1x or 0.5x if you´re past 3.9ghz, shut down all the features like turbo, cool n quiet and stuff, test the cpu with prime 95 or intel burning test until you find that clock go bsod, then go with the last stable clock. Most Bulldozer CPUs will run an extra 700-800Mhz on Stock Voltages. Don´t mess with voltages with that mobo let´s stay within stock.

Fine but try to get bigger fans if your case supports it, 120 mm, less noise, better airflow.
