Programs randomly freeze when typing, problem goes away when keyboard is unplugged and re-plugged

I've run into this random issue recently. Basically, when I press any key on my keyboard, the program that's currently in focus will freeze. The programs can be anything, from FireFox to games. It seems to happen randomly, but it only seems to happen after a long period of time. However, the problem goes away (i.e the program un-freezes and stops freezing when typing) when I unplug and re-plug in my keyboard, a Razer Blackwidow Unlimate 2013.

This seems to be similar to another issue I previously had, where, after my system was auto-locked (I've got Windows setup to lock my PC when the screensaver starts) the enter key would "stick" (not physically) if I pressed the enter key when typing in my password. If I clicked the the arrow, the issue didn't pop up. My PC isn't doing this anymore, but I thought I'd mention it anyway.

I've had this keyboard for awhile now, and I don't think it's a hardware fault. I suspect it's the Razer Synapse 2.0 software, I've had all kinds of issues with my keyboard and mouse that seem to be the software's fault. This is a fresh Windows install (a few weeks old) and it wasn't originally doing this.

I use the same keyboard had a very similar issue when I had first bought it.

My issue was that I accidentally binded random spam and it was just causing the programs to crash.
Also, I would just remove Razer Syanpse as I don't even use it myself and the keyboard and functions work just fine without it.

"accidentally binded random spam"? Like, you set something random in the Razer keyboard configuration thing in Synapse? Or is there a way to assign things with keyboard shortcuts and it's possible to accidentally assign something?

I've tried uninstalling and re-installing Synapse, but that didn't solve the issue. I'd try not using Synapse altogether, but you you need it for stuff like assigning functions to keys and setting sensitivity on Razer mice. Speaking of mice, I've got all kinds of issues relating to my Razer Mamba that seems to be purely the fault of Synapse, but that's another topic.

Yeah there is a shortcut I don't remember right now for on the fly macro recording.

I must of pressed the shortcut somehow and recorded a much of spam not knowing, then when I pressed the m1 button again ( It was also binded to my mount in WoW ) it would just spam all the keys it had recorded.

For your issue at right now I'm not sure what I would do but check the drivers or try using another keyboard and see if the problem persists

Hmmm, definitely seems to be related to Synapse. I had the freeze issue pop up and I uninstalled the Synapse software. The freezing then stopped right away and even inputted the text I was trying to type at the time. Didn't even need to unplug my keyboard.

Yeah I would just avoid using Synapse if possible.

Most games allow you to bind the M1-5 keys and change mouse sensitivity, you can also change it from the mouse settings.
This is the way I've been using it over a year now and I've haven't had a problem with it.

I'm not really sure what else to tell you.. If Synapse is vital to you then you could try contacting razer support but I read a lot of people are just fine with out it.
