ram causing reboot again and again

Hey guys,i bought a new 1gb ram adata ddr 400(3) 1gx16 for my asus p4r8l motherboard.i cant figure out the problem.if i put my old ram in my pc it works normal but new ram is causing reboots and blue screen pls help me

go into bios and set the ram frequency to 400mhz.

if you still have issues, there will also be numbers on the ram itself like 3-3-3 or 3-4-4. set these manually in the bios and the command rate to 2t.

If everything works fine, try command rate 1t as this will have better performance.

as far as i know, a.i. tweaker didn't exist until ddr3 boards. you want to go through all the options till you find something like dram/ram configuration.

It is difficult to tell if it is compatible as it is an obscure model with no info on the asus website.

The best way to find out would be to try configuring it yourself.

U will have to search for Pundit-R in the asus website then u can find the details for it.and for the bios if i go advanced tab then chipset and then there are 2options southbridge and northbridge and northbridge has a option for choosing dram cas speed and i cannot find any other options regarding ram
