Asus, should i buy it for gaming too?

So I'm between buying a Razer blade or the Asus G46VW since the main problem is that they don't sell razers in here. so I guess razer isn't really a choice. What im worried about is the performance

here are the specs. and the main difference between normal G46VW would be the fact that it has 3GB in the graphics card as the salesman told me it had an Nvidia and an integrated nvidia which made it 3GB GPU in total. And its intel core i7. The only problem is that its 3rd gen and not 4th gen which worries me that it might affect performance too much.

So do you guys recommend this as a "replacement" for razer?

There is not much performance difference between 3rd & 4th gen Intel CPUs. Assuming the same number of cores and clockspeed, benchmarks have shown an average of 6% increase in overall performance.

Based on the link the Asus G46VW comes with a single GTX 670MX graphics card / chip with 3GB of RAM. I really doubt a 2nd graphics card can be added. It seems the performance is between the GTX 760m and GTX 765m based on the following link:

Hey,

For a Notebook, it's a very powerful one,
It has Intel Core i7 (that's the best right now) and it has an GeForce GTX-line GPU and the GeForce GTX line is on top of the GPU charts at the moment, your GPU should run Battlefield 4 at High Settings with 40-50 FPS. The manufacturer is Asus. (also a good choice as I love there notebooks)

Conclusion: If you buy this laptop for gaming, it will do his job, but if you buy this for regular use, it will work too! Overall great choice and to answer your question, Yes it is a good replacement of the Razer.

thank you so much for the answer but I have a question. Is there a huge difference between an intel core i7 3rd gen and 4th gen. The only thing that worries me is the fact that its 3rd gen instead of 4th gen. Also, what about the GPU, because they told me that it had the GTX 660m series (which worried me since it wasn't 700 series) but they told me that it also had another integrated Nvidia card which made it a 3GB instead of a 2GB GPU. Does this means its better than some other laptops which have 2GB Gpu's only? and can this actually be implemented?

Yeah I did more research on it and it seems head on. So comparing the gtx 670mx and the ggtx 765m is there a huge difference of performance between the two?
