How many times can I split Sata power ports?

Hi,

I have a Coolermaster V1000 modular PSU and 12 disk drives (8 hdds and 4 ssds) for my new build.

The psu does not have enough 5-pin modular ports to power all my devices (hdds and 5.25 devices), so I need to split the Sata power cables somehow.

Each modular Sata cable for this psu has 3 connections (this is the cable: http://www.cmstore-usa.com/5-pin-to-sata-modular-cable-oem-package/).

I'm wondering if I can safely split each of those 3 connections on the modular cable 4 ways with something like this: http://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-Power-Splitter-Adapter-PYO4SATA/dp/B0086OGN9E/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1390109868&sr=8-2&keywords=sata+splitter+power.

Would this work without any issue, or should I go for another solution?

Thanks,
forgz

Solution
Then it might be better to return the power supply and get one that provides the necessary amount of SATA power connections.
Doesn't your PSU provide 8 SATA power connections? So you'd need 4 more and not 8.

I will run in to the same issue with Molex cables too. The modular cables each terminate in 2 Molex ports, so I would probably need to go 1 Molex to 4 Sata twice on 1 cable. So 8 Sata ports on 1 cable. Would that pose a problem too? And, I'm not sure if loosing the 3.3v line from Molex to Sata is important for this setup?

And just to mention, my hdd drives are mostly WD RE4s which will be in raid. So I'm concerned about providing adequate power
