New PC is randomly rebooting

I finished building my first PC the other day and I'm having a really irritating issue. Basically, my PC will randomly restart with no apparent trigger. By restarting, I mean as if I've hit the reset button, not as if I've gone start -> restart. Sometimes it happens minutes after booting up, sometimes hours. I have gotten a BSOD, but only a couple of time out about 15 reboots. Photo of BSOD here http://i.imgur.com/hS4GEpi.jpg. I have disabled automatic restarts on failure but haven't seen a BSOD since.

So far I'm fairly sure it's a hardware issue because this has occurred multiple times during memtest86+ and within the BIOS menu. Speaking of memtest, I've run both sticks of ram through it (both together and individually)with no errors with either. At this point, I've also removed all peripherals (including GPU) except the the HDD and I'm still getting reboots. The CPU seems to be running nice and cool too (around 35-40 degrees celsius according to HWmonitor).

Here's my current parts list if that's any help:
- Antec Neo Eco 520C Power Supply
- Gigabyte GA-B85M-D3H Motherboard
- Seagate Barracuda 1TB ST1000DM003
- Kingston ValueRAM KVR13N9S8K2/8 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3
- Intel Core i5 4440

I'm not too sure where to go from here. Have you guys got any ideas? Would appreciate any help as this is very frustrating for this to be happening with my first build.

I prefer to blame cheap PS with very random problems, but your PS is actually rated very high! Your problem is almost too random, which only makes it more frustrating. Any chance you have another PS just for the hell of it, even if it is low powered, you only need to see if it stable on the desktop and basic browsing. Anything over 300 watts will do. ( Don't remove the Antec, just the connections, and place the test unit near it and do it the messy way, it's just a test! )
Another possiblity, just use the Windows DVD Repair Option to replace all the system files, perhaps there is a corruption somewhere on the HD, couldn't hurt to try. It won't remove your personal files and programs, just possibly some windows updates, which are easy to re-install manually.
Have you tried a CMOS clear? If there is a new BIOS available for your MB, updating the BIOS is a pretty easy task, done in the BIOS, usually with a USB stick.
Try the free stuff first, then you may have to use old parts ( if you have anything to steal from !) where you can or borrow parts from someone else just to test.

I've actually already done a full reinstall of Windows as a precaution, but the problem persists. Likewise with updating the BIOS. I'm leaning towards a PS or mobo fault. Unfortunately my friends aren't into pc building so I've got no idea where to source another Power supply. Also, this was my first build, so I've got old parts myself :( Tis very frustrating.

You may want to consider purchasing a PS tester. You may not use it much, but it will help you feel more confident about eliminating the PS from your list of possibilities. I got one from Amazon under $15 and it basically just tells me if all the rails are working and within 10% of spec. Better ones actually show you the real values. Of course, HWMonitor can tell you your voltages and testers can't easily tell if you have intermittent problems. You could have a leaky capacitor. Some larger PS caps will barely hold there rated values, so they are constantly being recharged as if the PS were constantly seeing a high demand. (Normally the big caps have plenty of reserve and hold most of their charge even after turned off) Does your PS seem hot even when not under load? That could indicate a bad cap. DO you have a kill-a-watt or other power usage meter to see how much power you are using at idle? If you MB is the problem and it is intermittent, you might want to call Gigabyte and talk to someone about any tests you can do and about getting an RA to get a new one. I have dealt with both Asus and Gigabyte in the past and as long as you have a methodical list of what you have already done, I have found they are very helpful. Both times they got me a rush replacement priority! If you bought your MB from NewEgg or Amazon and you already got an RA from the manufacturer, tell them the RA# and they will rush you a new board before you send your old board back!
