I wouldn't consider a 5ms response time to "lag behind". 5ms response time it normal, perhaps not the best like those 1ms response times, but it isn't by any means bad. I would rather prefer, as many others would, the better image quality. As far as I'm concerned, it's quite hard to notice 1ms vs 5ms response time, just like 60hz vs 144hz.
Monitors are suppose to display the images, so they might as well display it well. IPS makes it look much nicer.

yeah, I totally agree with you point. I was just trying to say about IPS in general. I too am having an IPS Monitor with 7ms response time. The colors look fantastic, but look at the response time difference 1ms vs 7ms.
