You should be fine going with a 7850 or a 650 Ti Boost

You are using a Haswell chip afterall, so go for the best card in your budget and upgrade your CPU down the line

The main limitation being that it's only a dual core, a fairly powerful one but still not that good for newer games

Hey I'm also using the same processor right now...my GPU is HD 7770.i cant even play BF4 and BF3 at 60fps in ultra.when i checked my cpu performance graph, the readings shown were above 95 percent....this cpu bottlenecks any of the gpu in AMD 7000 series as well as Nvidia equivalent.

so try to save money and go for an i3...I bet you will not regret like me.....

There are no issues with the CPU, however it is a Haswell (latest generation) Intel Pentium. Your motherboard can take the latest (Haswell) Intel CPU's which includes the i3, i5 and i7 (e.g. ix-4xxx.) Most people suggest using a more "powerful" CPU for gaming, mainly the i3 and i5's, or an i7 if you want to future-proof yourself. Upgrading to at least an i3 is recommended in your case, as it's supported with your motherboard, and has more threads; which your OS sees as more cores.

With an i3 and a GPU of you choice, you should be able to play most games without issues. Your Pentium could bottleneck your GPU while in gaming.

All the best. :)

Since it's not an AMD processor you can't efficiently pair it up with a AMD graphics card, but It'll work. You should never put an expensive graphics card with a mid-end processor. I suggest goint to the maximum 100$ category. Trust mr, I have G3220 myself, and I suggest you to buy something in the R7 series (R7 240 or R7 250). You can also use something from Nvidia (GT630-620). Bottleneck doesn't exsit actually. Only people that combies strong graphics and weak processors and calling them slower than thir graphics and complaining. A mid range processor deserves a mid-end graphic card.

The fastest GPU you should consider pairing with your G3220 (which I use on my NAS) is the EVGA GTX 750 Ti http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IDG3PRI. Anything else will be more than you can effectively use with that CPU.

Its been said and I agree, its has to be a gtx 750ti.

I have this cpu (not in my build now tho) and a gtx 760 just could deal w it.
The r9 290 (wf3) did do better because of Mantle but not ideal.

Get the 750Ti.
