I realized after a recent hardware upgrade that my graphic card just isn't what it used to be. My maximum budget is $250 and I would prefer to stay with AMD. I'm looking for the best bang for my buck and so I'll be fine for another couple years.

I've been eyeing this one, but I'm open to suggestions.

I know you want to stay with amd, but the 760 is a better card at the same price of a 270x. It is the best bang for buck you can get under $250. If your bias is that strong then you're looking at the 270x. I've owned both amd and nvidia and currently have a 280x so I'm not very biased.

hd 7870 is not near the gtx 760. I have to agree with the first post, AMD just don't compete with the 760 at the $250 price point and unless you ABSOLUTELY fanboy out and stay AMD it's highly advised to go with the NVIDIA card.
