While accessing the external hard disk i'm facing the problem.. :(

I'm having problem in accessing my seagate 1TB hard disk.
i have copied all of my data from my laptop to the hard disk but nw i'm not able to acces it.I't showing an error as " the file directory is corrupted or unreadable "
i'm having all of my urgent data on it

i need help..please give me any solution if u can it's my humble request.

You may have removed it from the system too quickly after it was done transferring. If you just copied all of the data it should still be on the laptop just copy it again. If you cut and pasted it that is a different story and you may have to send the disk in for data recovery. Something similar happened to me once. I no longer cut and paste, I copy the information and leave it on the source computer until it is verified as good on the receiving computer.
