White loading lines, distorted images on new pc.

So i built my new pc about a week ago and all has been well except for the last couple of days it's been playing up a little, every time i load up a page on google chrome (i've tested others and it only seems to be chrome) i get this 1-3 pixel long white line flash up on the top right of the screen, even if google chrome isn't covering that part of the screen, when i'm loading videos it's constantly flashing and is really annoying, also every so often i get this thing where the image has these really large black lines for like 0.2 seconds before it flashes and goes back to normal. I know these are little things but is this a sign of a greater problem to come, i have a xfx dd 7870 and a fx 6300, i've tried reseating the graphics card with no change and i'm not sure if its my card playing up or my monitor (which is getting a bit old now)

Any help is appreciated
-Mike

Does your board have integrated graphics? Best thing to try if you do. Or a different monitor.

Hmm this is interesting, when i dual monitor with my tv it completely goes away, it doesn't happen on either screen, but as soon as i return to just my main monitor it comes back as before

Hmm odd indeed. Try single monitor with your TV only.
