Hey guys!

I just started building my pc and stupidly I don't have any thermal paste. I also put the h100i on before removing the stock thermal paste so I now have 2 layers of thermal paste. My questions are: 1. Can I leave it like that for 2 days until I buy a new one. 2. if not what can I use to remove it, all I have is Nail polish remover with no acetone but it has high quality oil. What should I do?!

well in order to remove it (apart from rubbing your finger against it and leaving some residues which can be later removed with a piece of cotton soaked in water), the best solution is to take a small piece of cotton and pour it into a 99% alcohol solution, which should be found in every house. If for some reason you do not have that then some vodka or a similar drink should also do the trick

With the old thermal paste on, you don't have a good contact surface, but I don't think that 2 days with the old thermal paste is going to fry your CPU - just be careful. When you clean it, always use isopropyl or rubbing alcohol, never an oil-based cleaner. Drug stores sell it dirt cheap.

A little dab on some microfiber cloth and rub the paste off with a circular motion. Repeat until the cloth remains clean.
