Hi,
I'm building a new gaming machine and am about to get a new 27" monitor. I'm planning on running 2 20" monitors in portrait mode alongside... Here are the two options for for the 27" monitor:

Asus 27" 120hz monitor for $300:

Dell 27" Ultrasharp 2560x1440 for $400 (locally on craigslist)

I have heard that 120hz is really great for gaming, so I am leaning toward the Asus. However, I would love to hear any feedback on this. Also, I am building a mid-range gaming PC to go with the monitor, including a gtx760 and a Haswell i5. Thanks!

It is a bad time to get the 144Hz monitor because in like a month the G-Sync monitors will be releasing and it compliment your GTX 760 very well and give you smoother frame rates with G-Sync. I doubt your 760 card will be able run frames above 60fps with that ASUS very well.. Your card will not run games in high settings in 1440p resolution with that card either, wait for G-sync monitors to get more performance out of your card.
