Hello!

Just finished to build a new system but the system freezes every few seconds .. (the mouse stops for 1-2 seconds while moving it)
I've tried Windows 8 and Windows 7, but I got the same issue...

The only thing that freezes is the mouse cursor...

What else should I try?

I use Intel's internal CPU Graphics (Intel 4600 HD Graphics) and a Super Flower SF-550K12XP Power Supply

It could be a few things. 1. Bad motherboard seeing that it even freezes in the bios 2. bad Windows installation, but seeing that it also freezes in the bios, i'm not too sure about this 3. it's the power supply, try a CPU intensive application such as prime 95 and see if it freezes up, if it does, its a PSU issue.

After trying to change the position of RAM modules, changing the OS and updating drivers, I found the solution that solved this problem:

The ASUS Z87-Deluxe Motherboard has a built in WiFi 802.11 AC wireless LAN adapter that was interfering with the nano receiver of the Logitech mouse.

Moving the receiver closer to the mouse solved this problem. A really simple solution.

I had a similar problem a few days ago, except that the whole computer would freeze for a second, except for the cursor. Turned out it was a hard drive error.
This issue is probably not the same thing, but heck, it may be useful to you. Quoted from one of my posts:

For Windows 7 users, didn't try with anything else.

Click Start. Click Computer. Right click your main drive. Click Properties. Click the Tools tab. Click the Check Now button. Tick the Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors option.

Note: This will take 12 HOURS OR MORE, depending on your computer and hard drive.

Hopefully, this will fix the issue.
