My pc has a 770 windforce 770 4Gb edition GPU and it has NO VGA connector only HDMI etc but my monitor has only VGA should i get a new monitor to use my GPU however if i connect my VGA cable into my motherboard can i use my GPU?

You will need a DVI to VGA adapter. Most graphics cards come with these and if not you can buy one fairly cheap

Alternatively you can use a DVI to VGA lead,

The adapter plugs into the DVI connection on the graphics card. Then you just plug your VGA lead into it
