Looking for the best 250$ price range GPU

Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2500K CPU @ 3.30GHz
4096MB RAM
ASUS MBO 1155 AS P8P67-M
ASUS Radeon HD EAH6670
and a 560W power supply.
Those are my PC specs. I also have a 24" monitor. My question is: Which would be the best GPU within a 250$ price range or less and how would it perform in playing newer games? I mean, with my current GPU, I can barely run Battlefield 3 at 1400x900 with medium settings around 60ish FPS. Would I be able to run it on 1920x1080 with high settings with a new 250$ card? What card would you reccomend? Any help is appreciated.

If you're talking about battlefield 4 yes,you can easily get a r9 270 and run bf3 max at 1080p and bf4 at high presets at 1080p.

A GTX 760 is in your budget, and should suit your needs. A step up would be a 770 but then you're looking at around 330-370$ US.

Yeah, that 6670 is really weak.. for $250 you should get the GTX 760.

Since your cpu is pretty powerful these framerates are almost exactly what you are going to get if you upgrade to the GTX 760.

Battlefield 3 ultra 70fps on 1080p for example. So yeah it will definitely run 1080p with high settings haha.

But what power supply do you have? 560 watt is good unless it's a crappy power supply..

marc,he wants to play bf3 not bf4,anything over a r9 270 for bf3 is an overkill but if you're looking to play the new titles a gtx 760 would suit you the best.

With the above gpus you can ultra most of the games. Even Bf3 and Bf4 are handled on ultra with these gpu easily.

I did mention Battlefield 3 as an example. I have checked the prices of GTX 760 and the r9 270 and what I saw made me cry a bit. See, I'm from Croatia, and the price of GTX 760 is a bit above 350$, and the r9 is 300$, so that wouldn't really work for me since I dont have 350 bucks right now.

I have found a Gigabyte GF GTX660 OC, 2GB GDDR5 for like 260 dollars. Is the 660 a lot weaker than the 760?

I found an R9 270 card for 270

dollars. My question is: since it's a PCE Express 3.0, and my mobo is 2.0, will it work as intended? Coz I saw a post on some forum saying that it doesnt really make a difference if you connect a 3.0 card to a 2.0 mobo but idk for sure.

I've got a r9 280x which uses PCE Express 3.0 and my mobo is a 890gxm-g65 which has a PCE Express 2.0 and since the card is backward compatible I can use it on my 2.0 mobo and difference between the 2.0 and 3.0 results in 1% of performance.
