why does my laptop screen go crazy and glitch

Whenever im on my laptop the screen starts to glitch and go crazy, this started last year but has gotten worse,,,whats going on????

my laptop is a samsung NP-N120

What exactly do you see? i.e. lines on screen, funny colours, flickering on/off... ?

Do you see the same glitches outside of Windows i.e. whilst the PC is booting?
Have you tried going into safe mode to see if the same thing happens (press F8 whilst PC is booting)?

I guess I see the screen flickering on and off but it's not always the whole screen and I think it does while it's booting up but never at the login bit and I'll try the boot thingy thanks
