Hello, i am considering to update my CPU. but i cannot find any 'clean' out answer for my question.
I play world of warcraft, battlefield 3(works, but not perfect)
would it make any big performance difference with E8400-E8500, even doe it has got only 2 cores?
Currently spec
Windows vista 32bit
2x1GB DDR2 PC2-5300
Intel core 2Duo E6550 2,33Ghz
Graficcard : HD 7750 1gb
Power-supply : ATX0300P5wb
Mobo : Foxconn Asrock G33M02
My main concern is that G33M02 does not support .45nm. but i am not very good with the inside-world of a pc. also, i heard rumors that G33M02 support Intel core2 Quad S-serie(65w models)

All the help i can get is very appreciated!

Well on the foxconn website it says that it supports 45nm processors if ur bios is up to date you can find out what version of bios u have by typing msinfo32 in the run bar and check here http://www.foxconnchannel.com/ProductDetail.aspx?T=motherboard&U=en-us0000319 whether it will run the processor
As for the processors it most probably will make a difference because of the higher clock speeds and cache memory but i suggest u upgrade ur ram because 2gb is a bit low

I recently updated BIOS to the latest version, thought it might was the problem for freeze screen. but problem remains, so i assume my RAM, and or CPU is retiring. i get a freeze screen every time i open a new program/window

Can i mix rams?lets say, 2gb with A-data 1gb with Corsair. Or kingstone and corsair,
