Hi,

looking for a solution that I googled and checked here in the threads, but probably my know how aint enough to make sense of what I find.

I want to play Everwinter, but my GPU doesnt support that so far. Problem is my system (PSU mainly) is pretty weak as is my budget unfortunately. Any chance for a recommendation that allows for good gameplay? Thx

Here my system:
System Information
Version: V1.0.2.8835
Operating System:Microsoft Windows 7 Professional
System Manufacturer:LENOVO
BIOS:Lenovo BIOS Version: 56KT37A.ROM V0.37A
Processor:AMD Athlon(tm) Dual Core Processor 5400B
Memory:3071MB
Motherboard Device:LENOVO To be filled by O.E.M.
Sound Device:High Definition Audio-Gerät
Video Controller:Current Display Controller Configuration
Network Adapter:Marvell Yukon 88E8070 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller
PSU states 280 W max. Has SATA cords (not these old-style power plugs)

Thx
Phillip

i would say go for a used 400w psu and maybe a used gt640 or 7790 depending wehter you want nvidia or amd. if you have the money go with 2gb versions of both cards, otherwise go with the cheapest.

Found this:
http://www.ebay.de/itm/520-W-Watt-PC-Netzteil-Computer-SATA-Strom-Lufter-leise-ATX-400-450-500-550-neu-/350833361148?pt=PC_Netzteile&hash=item51af4c40fc
11 Euro (=15 $) is affordable. Has the correct plugs for my computer, but wrong plugs for the gpu. Still, I guess I will be able to overcome this. Just the card kills me... No used ones on the market (Germany), and fresh ones on ebay cheapest at 70 Euro (100 $)

Thx a bunch, but is out of budget. The 8800 would do as well? Or is the difference significant?

thx

its not a big difference no although i recommend getting a better one but since your budget then go for the 8800. 520w is alot but for that price i guess it's a good buy. check so that you have a motherboard that supports the gpu and also check so that the psu will fit in your case. dont forget to select best answer. have a nice day.
