Hey,

After trying to update the bios of my motherboard, Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD3R (rev. 1.6), I can't get past the Bios screen or into the bios.

Edit: //Unfortunately I used @Bios for updating and unfortunately I did not look at this site before updating, I hope there still is anything possible.//

The story: windows 7 was working, it has been working fine for nearly 4 years now.
I've tried to install windows 8 on it (in dual boot), which was working "fine", it just kept saying "network cable not attached", while it was working when I switched to win 7. (all drivers etc. were correctly installed).
I did read something on the internet about that the bios version might be the problem. ( I did not update it since I bought it in 2010).

TL/DR: I tried updating the Bios with @Bios (Unfortunately) and there was nothing wrong (or nothing seemed wrong) while downloading and (pre?) installing, after that the program restarted my pc and that's where the trouble begon.
It was stuck on the bios screen for like 10-15 minutes (http://www.overclock3d.net/gfx/articles/2009/05/02174540483l.jpg) and after that time I decided to try to get into the settings, which was not possible. After that I restarted the PC and it got back into the same state. It's starting up untill the bios screen and nothing is possible there. (tried it several times now)

Some extra information (which might or might not be useful).
- I already tried removing the CMOS battery for 1 and for 5 minutes, no result.
- The phase led's on the mobo are all turned on, and stay turned on.
- My keyboard (usb, also tried it with a ps/2 adapter) does not show any lights, while normally at least one light (Fn or numlk) is on, and it also impossible to turn them on.
Edit: I just tried it with an old PS/2 keyboard. The lights of numlock/capslock/scrolllock blink for a moment at the start, but I still can 't get into the bios.

I hope anyone is able to help me.

Thank you in advance.

Oh boy....
Let's hope so you didn't create a brick from your PC. Try to find rufus (http://rufus.akeo.ie/). Download it, BIOS I think you have. Create bootable USB, copy BIOS file to stick, boot from USB if you can and flash BIOS.
Removing battery, wont reset BIOS, you need to put a jumper on mobo's clrrtc pins. Download manual for your mobo to see how to reset BIOS. If this not helps you, you'll need to flash your BIOS to version you have had earlier.
Good luck.
