Which cpu is more future proof

Soon enough, more games will be utilizing 8-cores. However, due to ever fast growing technology, the FX 8350 will seem slow by then. So I would suggest that you get the i5-3570K now and enjoy it's speed. As both of them will be considered as slow in the near future.

In my opinion the two CPU's are very similar. Obviously the 8350 makes use of 8 cores and the i5 only has 4 which could be a big difference when it comes to the future generation of games but currently, the i5 is better at gaming which is what I would go for. None of them will bottleneck an R9.
Yup. Just look at the i5-2500K. It's in the market for already 3 years and it's still gaming on ultra graphics. Also, the i5-3570K will not bottleneck the two R9 280X. So your PC will be perfectly good for the next 3 years of gaming.
