Hey Guys,

I finished building my gaming pc about a month ago and might I say it looks and perform amazingly. I didn't have any troubles with my pc for a month until recently I notice that my pc was making a LOT of sounds. It scared me quite a bit because I thought my computer was going to explode, but that's not the case. Usually my pc when turned on or underload the fan stays at the same speed and doesn't variate at all. All of a sudden one day my fans started to automatically change speeds. I'm not sure why, but I do understand that most if not all computers have sensors to detect what speed a fan should be running to prevent overheating, but I have all custom water cooling and my temperature goes to 55 degrees celius max.
Before I continue, let me try to explain how my pc is configured.
I have a total of 7 fans running in the computer.
- One fan is a closed-loop 120mm water cooling fan specifically for the cpu. (Attached traditionally on the far left side of case.)
- Two 120mm fan attached to a 240 Radiator for my SLI GPU custom Liquid Cooling. (Attached on top of Case)
- One open fan power supply Corsair 800W GS. (Traditionally attached on bottom left.)
- One PCI GPU Fan cooler. (Attached on bottom left above the power supply to maximize upward air output.)
- One 200mm Front panel Fan.
- One Double 50mm Ram Cooler fan.

Now as I said before, originally when running the computer, all fan run at constant speed no matter the workload and temperature does not surpass 55 degrees. Suddenly one day, the top two fan that belongs to the 240 radiator started to run at it's own automatic speed. It variate from different speed every 2 seconds even on idle. I also notice that when the 240 radiator fan changes speed, the front panel fan seems to lose power. The front 200mm fan has a white led light and I can tell it's losing power due to the lights constantly dims.
I Manage to isolate the cause so far. What these 3 fans have in common is that they are all connect by the same power cable (If that made any sense).
The case I use have a built-in fan control at the top of the case. The 240 radiator and the front panel fan as well as the custom liquid cooling pump is connect to this fan control. I'm not sure if this is a relevant thing to mention or not, but more information means the higher chance of getting help. Anyhow, I have 3 possible assumption, but not sure what is right or not. One is that my power supply of 800w isn't producing enough power for the pc. Two is that my pump is using a lot more power causing my fans to fluctuate in speed. Or three, somehow a settings in my computer must have changed the speed to automatic.
Either way, I would appreciate any help because playing games and doing work on a computer that sounds like its going to explode is pretty nerve-wrecking. Thanks!
