I have Windows xp2
installed on my C
drive.The size of my C
drive is 313 GB and D
drive is 372 GB. I want to
reduce the size of C drive
to 100 GB and add the
remaining space to D drive
or create a new drive
altogether.Kindly provide a
stable and safe solution
with detailed steps.

Hi

1) run hard disk diagnostics ( from hard drive manufacturer)
2) run chkdsk on d: & c:
3)
Run disk cleanup
4) run ccleaner. (Piriform )
5) run defragmenter on c:
All intended to make partitioning easier and drive is not damaged or corrupt
6) backup my documents incase something goes wrong

7) choose your favourite partitioning software which comes on a. Bootable cd or USB
If you are not familiar with any look at gparted project which is a free Linux live CD . There are a number of other companies offering free versions of slightly restricted versions of commercial products
