I can not access my WD Ultra portable hard drive. I have used it for three weeks with no problems.
Now it shows the hard drive but says there is no drivers?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Ken

And you have attached it to a USB port on the back of your computer, not just a front panel port, right?

Was the other computer a MAC?

There are a ton of things that you can try, HERE is a pretty comprehensive troubleshooting guide.

It could have been corrupted by being powered down or disconnected before a write completed, which is very common with external USB drives that are not safely ejected before shutdown or removal.

Check in disk management to see if you can assign it a drive letter and if its partition shows up as healthy or unallocated/RAW. Also, try using a different USB connector or attaching it on a different computer.
