Problem:
Battlefield 3 has been running perfectly fine with an average of 85 fps, but the other day i tried playing it and i was getting an average of 15 fps! so i restarted my computer, re-launched it and now im getting an average of 35 fps everytime. Never going above 40.
Background Info:
I have lowered the settings from Ultra to Low with no fps change. I have turned V-Sync on and off, and also tried lowering the resolution. None of this worked. My CPU should not be bottlenecking as the game was running fine a week ago.
Specs:
GeForce GTX 760.
AMD Phenom II x4 965 BE.
500GB Seagate hdd.
500W Coolmax PSU.
MSI 970A G46 Motherboard.
1600x900 Resolution (max my moniter can go.)
anything else you need to know ill tell you.

GPU averages at 50%, CPU averages at 80%. I just restarted my computer, tried playing again and its back in the 80's (fps)! I honestly have no idea why this happened or what caused it, but thanks for the help!

and the temperatures? the cpu/gpu might have been throttling due to overheating which causes lower fps

GPU sits at 50C, and CPU has the Xigmatek Gaia and sits at 34 C while playing.
