Format a SSD

My Samsung SSD won't let me create a boot disk and can't format it. Can it be formatted any other way. Thanks.

Start menu > Type and click "computer management" > On the left, under the storage tab, click "disk management" > Right click the correct disk in the top window and select "Format"

You can't format SSD or hard disk until it is partitioned

Not sure what sort of boot disk you are referring to or why SSD would stop making it or do you want to install windows on your SSD ?

Make sure you have created a partition on your ssd before formatting if its a new one. Then try formatting it

formating an ssd is just overwritting zero information and resulting on reduced performance.the previous data is there even you see an empty disk.the proper way for ssd is an secure erase that restores the drive in original condition without an performance decrease
