Laptop connected to home wifi but no internet access??

Please help, i know my wifi works because i am using it on my
phone right now, but my laptop has no internet access despite the fact that it says that its connected to my wireless network.

is the phone connected to the WiFi or the cell tower try checking your modem connection to your router have you tried rebooting your laptop i know some people on windows 8 get this problem have you tried re-installing your internet drivers?
