So I have AHCI enabled on my motherboard, and everything boots just fine. I've done the registry edit where you tweak the "msahci" folder in the registry.

My problem, it may not even be one, just looking for another opinion, my SSD, HDD both get recognized in Windows 7 64-bit Pro as ATA. At the bottom right of the Windows bar on the desktop, there is a USB icon with a green check mark. When I right-click on that icon, both drives are ATA devices, not AHCI.

If anyone could tell me a possible fix or if everything is cool that would be great!

If AHCI is enabled in BIOS, the devices will be running AHCI. The ATA tag in the Remove Hardware dialog doesn't have anything to do with it.

If you really need to check, load AS-SSD, and see if the drives are using the MSAHCI driver.
